Private Parts: The Trouble With My Vagina is a 2005 documentary which aired on Channel 5. Narrated by Jan Harvey, it presents a curiosity of the vagina from a female perspective, revealing some of the dangers of the new post-Sex In The City frankness about female sexuality - from Brazilian waxing accidents to designer vagina surgeries gone wrong. Can it still be respected when you are the owner of the vagina or will it become the quim of oppression? It's a look at how one can think of it with pride and honour.

Find the extreme edge and you'll understand the rest. THE PERFECT VAGINA is that edge. Women as young as 16 are having vaginal reconstruction surgery. Is this trend the canary-in-a-coal-mine warning or the most extreme example of self-criticism? Knowledge is power and men have the power to help through knowledge - help women feel better about accepting their bodies AND help themselves to more and better relations with women. THE PERFECT VAGINA 'de-mythifies' and demystifies what women think of a central part of themselves, their bodies and the relationship to their world.

An astonishing work of cutting-edge science and cultural history that radically reframes how we understand the vagina - and consequently, how we understand women - from one of our most respected cultural critics and thinkers, Naomi Wolf, author of the modern classic The Beauty Myth.
When an unexpected medical crisis sends Naomi Wolf on a deeply personal journey to tease out the intersections between sexuality and creativity, she discovers, much to her own astonishment, an increasing body of scientific evidence that suggests that the vagina is not merely flesh, but an intrinsic component of the female brain - and thus has a fundamental connection to female consciousness itself.

"I say vagina because I want people to respond," says playwright Eve Ensler, creator of the hilarious, disturbing soliloquies in The Vagina Monologues, a book based on her one-woman play. And respond they do–with horror, anger, censure, and sparks of wonder and pleasure. Ensler is on a fervent mission to elevate and celebrate this much mumbled-about body part. She asked hundreds of women of all ages a series of questions about their vaginas (What do you call it? How would you dress it?) that prompt some wondrous answers…
