Combative, provocative, and searingly blunt, Admiral Hyman G. Rickover was a flamboyant maverick and a unique American hero. When few thought it possible, then-Captain Rickover harnessed the power of the atom to drive the first nuclear-powered submarine, the USS Nautilus, whose trip under the polar ice pack was one of the great adventure stories of the 1950s. Later, Rickover built the world's first nuclear aircraft carrier and the first commercial nuclear power plant at Shippingport, PA. Rickover's achievements made him into a national celebrity.

Can a German play the Blues? Guitarist/singer Kai Strauss grew up in a small working class town in northern Germany. He discovered his passion for the music of Albert King, Buddy Guy, Jimmie Vaughan and many others as a teenager in the 1980s through his parents’ record collection. Soon, countless nights at the local blues jams followed, and from the 1990s on you could find him on stages all over Europe alongside Texas harmonica player Memo Gonzalez. After 15 years on the road with Gonzalez, Strauss started fronting his own group The Electric Blues All-Stars.

Kitaro’s Sacred Journey Of Ku-Kai Volume 5 follows the highly acclaimed Volumes 1 through 4 of the series, all of which have earned Grammy nominations. The Ku-Kai series concept arose after the global events on the fateful day of September 11, 2001. Kitaro was traveling on a jet from Japan to Los Angeles when the transcontinental flight was diverted to Hawaii for five days due to the tragedy. It was during this time of disbelief and uncertainty that Kitaro envisioned the Ku-Kai series as a means of uniting the world through music embracing his frequently referenced universal message of peace.
