"This, the band’s eighteenth studio album, features 5 brand new tracks and the feeling within the band themselves is that they may well have produced their best ever work. Marillion has certainly not mellowed with age; the album artwork shows the acronym ‘FEAR’ embossed on a gold ingot, and the songs themselves bear the hallmark of true quality.

One of the few Neo Prog albums I really like. It clearly reminds of Genesis (Peter Gabriel's era of course), but it's not a copy, it's more of a "continuation" of what has been done in the previous decade. In my opinion one of the best albums of the '80s.

No Prayer for the Dying is the eighth studio album by British heavy metal band Iron Maiden. It marks their first line-up change since 1983; guitarist Adrian Smith left the band during the pre-production phase, unhappy with the musical direction it was taking, and only having contributed to one song, "Hooks in You". Smith was replaced by Janick Gers, who had previously worked with singer Bruce Dickinson on his first solo-album, Tattooed Millionaire, and had also worked with Ian Gillan, former Marillion singer Fish, and New Wave of British Heavy Metal band, White Spirit.

This is probably the most pop and accessible of the IQ albums; with Paul Menel on lead vocals, it definitely sounds like the previous "Nomzamo". So, the IQ fan who expects complex and elaborated progressive songs could be a bit disappointed.

Dutch Trio (Keyboards, bass & drums) led by ex-EKSEPTION keyboards player Rick Van Der LINDEN, TRACE was considered as the most famous super-group of its country. Its music includes virtuoso, researched, complicated, ever evolving themes, full of breaks and instrumental developments where the keyboards player could show his talent on Hammond organ, synthezisers, harpsichord, piano and Mellotron. The second album "Birds" (1975) was Golden record at that time. Englishman Ian MOSLEY (Future MARILLION drummer) appears here, as well as CURVED AIR's Darryl Way's violin on one track.
