Former Sunny Day Real Estate frontman Jeremy Enigk has been working on a crowdfunded solo album for several years now, and he’s finally ready to release it. As Brooklyn Vegan points out, it’s called Ghosts, and it will arrive in October. It’ll be his first album since 2009 solo effort OK Bear, though SDRE did share the new song “Lipton Witch” back in 2014. In a PledgeMusic video interview, Enigk explains that Ghosts is built from many, many old demos he’d recorded over the years and that the tracklist is extremely long: “It’s probably two, three volumes worth of music, but I’m putting it all into one volume.” Watch the interview below along with a recent KEXP session in which Enigk performed the new song “Ancient Road” backed by a full band and string quartet.

Known as "Gentleman Jim", his songs continued to chart for years after his death. Reeves died in the crash of his private airplane. He is a member of both the Country Music and Texas Country Music Halls of Fame.

Endemically bored, wealthy, disillusioned, acutely refined, phobic and neurotic and singularly disgusted by humanity he withdraws from Paris as a middle-aged sensualist to live with servants as a recluse”.
"The Pearl of Great Price" is the collaborative effort of Jeremy Morris and Vitaly "Progressor" Menshikov. Jeremy has released albums ranging in style from acoustic guitar, piano, pop-style worship songs to progressive rock. Progressor is best known for his work with the band X Religion, based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Jeremy lives in Portage, Michigan, USA. "The Pearl of Great Price" is an instrumental album, the sound of which is best described as a blend of Space Music and Guitar Hero, with a dose of Krautrock thrown in for good measure. The atmosphere is full of synthetic sounds, befitting the space genre (blowing winds, slowly changing keyboard textures, electronic twittering and chirping), but is often overlaid with soaring guitar work…
