Hard to Find Orchestral Instrumentals, Vol. 2 gathers up 20 lush, rich, and string-filled songs played by a wide variety of big orchestras both well-known, like Nelson Riddle's orchestra, and lost to the vagaries of time, like Sir Chauncey & His Exciting Strings. The disc is consistently lush and would make any elevator ride a pleasant journey. If you like beautiful melodies played by lots and lots of violins, this is the perfect disc for you.

Even through the '60s, when rock & roll had supposedly taken over the pop landscape, there was still plenty of room on the singles charts for easy-listening orchestras fortunate enough to find and record compositions catchy enough to grab the attention of mainstream audiences. Hard-to-Find Orchestral Instrumentals gathers some of these tunes, leading off with three of the '60s' biggest hits in the genre.

Ready for the most remarkable flood of high-profile stereo debuts this year (or any year)? Hit Parade Records presents perhaps their finest CD collection yet, and it’s overflowing with sonic surprises you never expected to hear in stereo. From the most iconic drum beat in pop music (the fabulous “Be My Baby” intro) to the instantly recognizable opening chords of “Louie Louie” and “You Really Got Me” (both here in stereo for the first time), this album contains more important pop music history than any CD you’ll likely ever own.

No matter how many times you’ve heard these classic Fifties hits, you’ve never heard them like this – unless you were in the studio when they were recorded! Why? Because every one of these 31 original hits appears in jaw-dropping new or rare STEREO, most for the first time ever. Hearing the original hit versions of these all-time classics in crystal-clear stereo is like hearing them for the first time. Believe it or not, 24 of these famous hits have never appeared in stereo in their correct hit-single versions until now. And these are really huge hits, like Bill Haley’s “(We’re Gonna) Rock Around The Clock,” Gogi Grant’s “The Wayward Wind,” Paul Anka’s “Diana,” and “My Prayer” by The Platters. And those are only four of the thirteen #1 hits on this CD.
