Reissue with the latest remastering. Features original cover artwork. The music of Charles Mingus – played by a great small combo headed up by Dannie Richmond, Mingus' drummer for over 20 years! The group on the set features members from Charles' last band – and is a quintet with Ricky Ford on tenor, Jack Walrath on trumpet, Bob Neloms on piano, and Cameron Brown on bass. Tunes are taken in a gentler, and more open-handed version than used on the original recordings – a style that's a nice contrast to that of Mingus, replacing the strength of his vision with a warmth and sensitivity that makes the tunes sparkle nicely. Titles include "Fables Of Faubus", "Goodbye Pork Pie Hat", "Nostalgia In Times Square", and "Duke Ellington Sound Of Love".
"Heart Like a Gun" is the third studio album by singer Fiona, released in 1989 through Atlantic Records. It reached #150 on the Billboard 200 chart in 1990 and remained charted for sixteen weeks. The album features Singer Kip Winger and drummer Rod Morgenstein from the band Winger, with Kip dueting with Fiona on "Everything You Do (You're Sexing Me)". The album exudes class and quality, a tremendous example of rugged yet melodic hard rock, with a polished and accessible sheen.
Fiona Boyes plays deep Blues, influenced by a myriad of traditional regional styles. She has carved out an international reputation as a blues guitarist, vocalist and songwriter, and American reviewers have described her as a 'musical anomaly' and 'Bonnie Raitt's evil twin'! Equally at home on acoustic or electric guitars, her mostly original repertoire is like a Blues travelogue. Listen to her play and you'll hear pre-war Delta slide, single chord Mississippi Hills grooves, intricate country blues finger picking along with material drawn from the classic blues sounds of New Orleans, Chicago and Memphis. Fiona continues to joyfully explore the music she loves with recent acquisitions such as a cigarbox guitar and a rare ResoLectric Baritone adding new textures to her live shows and recordings.

His agent arranges for a secretary to stay with him, in order to speed up its completion (played by Linda Hayden). However, this turns out to be a big mistake when she reveals that she has actually come to kill him for stealing the manuscript for his last novel from her husband, which drove him to suicide. The housekeeper, Kier's girlfriend (played by 70's sex superstar Fiona Richmond) and 2 local thugs all meet horrific ends as Hayden goes on her killing spree.
