The start of this 4-part miniseries could be summed thus: Ultimate Sue confronts Ultimate Reed with the Ultimate help of Ultimate Rick Jones. Ultimate Doom is the final part in a trilogy of miniseries telling a huge, world-spanning crossover outside the main titles. Unlike the trilogy ("Ultimate Secret”/”Mystery”/”Nightmare”) from which it borrowed the idea, these miniseries have not been discrete stories around a common threat; instead is a direct continuation of . Bendis is pulling out all the stops here, and frankly, it (or rather the strain of it) shows. It is Sandoval's artwork, though, that lifts the series. Nice touches like the covers spanning to form a poster panel point to his singular eye for detail.

4 CBR's | IDW Publishing | Release Dates May 12 - Sep 1 2010 | 242.57 MB Ttoal

In Bram Stoker’s iconic 1897 novel , there is roughly a chapter and a half devoted to the mysterious events that took place on board the Russian ship the Demeter. Having sailed from Varna, Bulgaria to the shores of Whitby, England during a violent storm, the schooner is discovered with no crew in sight and the captain’s carcass tied to the ship’s helm. Aside from a few entries in his log referring to a “malevolent presence” onboard, little is explained as to exactly what happened after their departure. For over 100 years, this has been all the information we fright fans have had to go on concerning that doomed passage…until now. IDW Publishing recently released the four-part miniseries Bram Stoker's Death Ship (subtitled ), but unrelated to the long-in-development film of that title on the same subject that intends to shed some light on that dark, cryptic excursion into hell. It’s an ambitious task, and did it succeed..? The first issue is a Minutemen scan while the succeeding ones are near-lossless original scans by mda0331.

The mental well-being of a rural Iowa town is about to be obliterated by a tainted water supply, and no amount of therapy can save survivors from their infected friends and neighbors. Overture Films' new take on George Romero's 1973 film "The Crazies" was just released February 26, 2010 and with it, a companion comic book narrative set to flesh out the tale's horrific causes and effects. Produced by Jeff Katz of American Original and printed by Top Cow, the four-issue miniseries follows four distinct chapters featuring individual creative teams. Ivan Brandon and Jon Buran handle "Hopman Bog," followed by Brian Reed and Hugo Petrus on "Dwyer Creek," Marc Andreyko and Vincent Spencer on "Black Pond" and Joshua Hale Fialkov and Rashan Ekedal handling "Ogden Marsh." Each chapter expands upon the film's viral outbreak origins, breaking down the epidemic's component characteristics as it infects the physical and mental capacities of the town's human — and in some cases, animal — populace. Issues #1 and 2 arrived in shops last February 15, 2010 with the second half of the series, issues #3 and 4, released last February 24.
