Outstanding, killer "Hendrix Tribute" disc captured Live on Randy Hansen's Euro-tour 2008. It is an amazing, heavy-duty set featuring many Hendrix tracks/jams not found on Hansen's previous "tribute" discs. Awesome, over-the-top, relentless, Hendrixian-Guitar Fury dominates this stand-out, live bluesy heavy guitar "musical document". Randy Hansen is a true, legitimate, modern-day, white Hendrix who nails down the Man's monumental, timeless, classic riffage with power, precision and passion. Complete with tons of bad-ass, killer, extended, improvisational, Hendrix-inspired lead guitar action that make for a disc which will satisfy both hard-core Hendrix lovers and serious heavy guitar fans worldwide.

Stand Up is the second studio album by the British rock band Jethro Tull, released in 1969. Stand Up represents the first album project on which Anderson was in full control of the music and lyrics. The result was an eclectic album with various styles appearing in its songs, yet an album which remained somewhat in the blues rock mould, which would be the last such album from Jethro Tull. The album quickly went to number 1 in the UK charts. It was released again in November 2016 in a box set with two CDs and one DVD, named Stand Up - The Elevated Edition. The box contains rare and previously unreleased music (such as an alternate take of "Bourée", BBC tracks, radio spots) including new stereo and 5.1 mixes of the album and bonus tracks by Steven WIlson, and a live presentation, from a concert in Sweden in 1969, also remixed by Wilson.

As a composer of orchestral music, Alexander Scriabin is best known for his last two idiosyncratic symphonies, the Poem of Ecstasy and Prometheus: The Poem of Fire, which are essentially symphonic poems, not symphonies in the conventional sense. The Symphony No. 1 (1900) and the Symphony No. 2 (1901), however, are more recognizable as symphonies in their multiple-movement forms, and their durations are comparable to the expansive symphonies of Scriabin's contemporary, Gustav Mahler. They also share the post-Romantic tendency toward Wagnerian harmonies, rhapsodic melodies, and lush orchestration, which, in Scriabin's case, were developed to express heightened emotional states and mystical transcendence. This 2016 double SACD by Valery Gergiev and the London Symphony Orchestra presents each of the symphonies on its own disc, and the high-quality multichannel sound is ideal for bringing across the subtle nuances of tone color and the shifting of dynamics that are characteristic of his style.]

Although his songs were covered by the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and Elvis Presley, country-soul pioneer Arthur Alexander remains largely unknown to the general listening audience nevertheless, his music is the stuff of genius, a poignant and deeply intimate body of work on par with the best of his contemporaries. Born May 10, 1940, in Florence, AL, Alexander was the son of a bottleneck blues guitarist who performed each Saturday night in the blues joints scattered throughout the region. Rooted as much in white country music as black R&B, Alexander was still in the sixth grade when he joined a gospel group dubbed the Heartstrings. After high school, he worked as a hotel bellhop, befriending Tom Stafford, an R&B-obsessed white kid who fancied himself a lyricist Alexander began adding melodies to his words, and through Stafford was introduced to a likeminded crowd of fledgling musicians including future legends Dan Penn, Spooner Oldham, Billy Sherrill, and Rick Hall.

With raspy beer-and-smoke vocals and a tough, Texas-country sound, William Clark Green knows exactly where his music sounds the best – and the rising star captures that with the September 23rd release of his first live album, Live at Gruene Hall. "The guys wanted to change all this stuff up and start [filling the set with] special moments and stuff like that … but I was like fuck that," Green tells Rolling Stone Country about his two-night stand in the oldest dancehall in Texas. "Let's just do what we do and do it really well."

Pianist Monty Alexander had a reunion tour with his former sidemen, bassist John Clayton and drummer Jeff Hamilton, in 1983. The resulting CD was recorded live in a West German club. Alexander is the main soloist (as expected) but Clayton has several memorable spots where he utilizes his bow, particularly on Charlie Chaplin's "Smile." Other highlights of this excellent straight-ahead release include "Two Bass Hit," Clayton's '"Blues for Stephanie," and "Love You Madly." Recommended.

The Sparkle in Our Flaws is the second studio album that Chantal Acda under her own name released in September 2015. A recording of a studio album means Chantal Acda intuitive happen. "I paint in the moment. Move around instruments and fill in the numbers along with the musicians who take part at the time of the recording process. I put on a studio album especially touch with my inner being and find a connection with the songs and the musicians in attendance. After the release of a studio album the songs were in the world. Along with my live band. There they received an additional interlocutor. That is, the audience. The dialog that is contracted changed and reshapes the numbers. They go to a place and space where I have to let go. This process I find very interesting and valuable. That's why I decided again to release a live album as a follow up tour of the studio album.

Vocalist Alexander Stewart returns with an orchestral, cinematic album, that dusts off the constraints of nostalgia, leaping forward into the contemporary and places the twenty-something Mancunian back in the UK music spotlight. Labelled as "one of the most precociously talented vocalists of his generation", Stewart's acknowledgement of both standards and popular music is greatly referenced in his choice of material, both in his live and recorded work and no more so than in this upcoming release.
