Advanced Lastics is a one-hour-and-fifteen-minute stretch that will challenge your entire body, but not the way you might think. In Lastics the concept of stretching one muscle at a time does not exist. The technique is based on the idea that you need to move to stretch and stretch to move. So, in each of the six sections, one area of your body is targeted but others will be activated as well, depending on how the stretch moves you. A whole body stretch at Lastics means you have to use your whole body to create the kind of stretch that gets results. Some of the stretches in this workout require you to get into difficult positions that assume an above-average level of flexibility. If you can't touch your toes without bending your knees, sit tall with a straight back and legs open in a straddle, or go down far enough into a split that your hands reach the floor on either side of your body, then the first Lastics DVD is a better place to start because it will give you the foundation you need.
