Hammock returns with Everything and Nothing, the Nashville duos first full-length album since 2013s critically-acclaimed Oblivion Hymns. With Everything and Nothing, Hammock has entered oblivion a place of personal struggle, doubt, and change and come out the other side; hopeful. The experience is meticulously woven into each song, shared with listeners through intricate melodies, compelling beats, and solemn vocals. In some ways, Everything and Nothing is the spiritual successor to the bands 2006 breakout album Raising Your Voice… Trying to Stop an Echo. It recalls the same mastery of sound and storytelling, destined to spark every listeners imagination.

Hammock's debut release. Now expanded & remastered. Hailed for its emotional resonance & masterful melding of ambient shoegaze & electronic. Broad washes of crystalline guitar tones and gently pulsating synths convey a sense of broadness and space. This is not simple drone music; it's complex sophisticated & dense but it's also not alienating pseudo-intellectual or moribund… Hammock make music that is filled with human emotion & passion.

Post Rock, Ambient

Hammock is an American two-member ambient/post-rock band from Nashville, Tennessee. With music initially created in between production and songwriting projects, Hammock combines live instrumentation, electronic beats, and droning guitar into atmospheric music similar in style to the work of Boards of Canada, Explosions in the Sky, and Stars of the Lid. Hammock is a collaboration between Marc Byrd and Andrew Thompson that developed out of informal recording sessions between songwriting projects. Byrd and Thompson initially had no intention of releasing their studio efforts. After building up a collection of almost 40 songs, however, they changed their minds.
