After her number one debut in 2014 and a small break, Ira May is strengthened and motivated to open a new chapter. This chapter is called "Eye Of The Beholder" and will be released on 23 September in the form of a new studio album. The totally 16 tracks present a great stylistic variety - from soul to jazz and pop sounds to reggae and fun there is much to see "Eye of the Beholder". Once again a class of its own are the catchy ballads, sung with fervor, emotions and temperament.

Eye in the Sky provided the Alan Parsons Project with their first Top Ten hit since 1977's I Robot, and it's hard not to feel that crossover success was one of the driving forces behind this album…

Fresh album of the Polish band is quite different from previous works. Which way, everyone decides for himself. The album includes both new works and re-executed version of the already known compositions.

In the Eye of the Storm is the first solo album by former Supertramp member Roger Hodgson. The album itself was only moderately successful, stalling at number 46 in the Billboard album charts and only reaching number 70 in the UK Albums Chart. It performed far better in Canada, going platinum within a month of its release. The album received a positive review from Allmusic, who stated that the album's key quality is that Hodgson plays the vast majority of the instruments himself. They also noted that though the music itself lacks any progressive rock elements, "The spirit of traditional progressive rock experimentation is alive on this album; five of the seven songs exceed six minutes."

Back in the late 60s and early 70s, Black Widow was one of the most prominent bands, experimenting with a mix of progressive rock, psychedelic music and hard rock / heavy metal. The band came to a premature end in the 1970s, but Clive Jones, the only constant in the band, has revived the band, together with Geoff Griffith. The band once caused stirs with occult topics and live onstage sacrifices and were major competitors to Black Sabbath for the throne of dark heavy masters of rock. Unfortunately, just as their star was rising, the band stopped working and they were relegated to cult status.

Having clocked up a multitude of miles in their tour van, the 2015 Group Of The Year (Australian Blues Music Awards) has not only developed a reputation as one of the hardest working bands in the country but has also picked up a swag of accolades along the way including Best Blues Album for their debut release Move Me (2013 SA Blues & Roots), Best Blues Artist (2014 South Australian Music Awards) and nominations for Song Of The Year (Hole In My Pocket, 2015 Australian Blues Music Awards) and Most Popular Blues/Roots Artist (2016 SAM Awards). Lazy Eye kicked 2016 off with a whirlwind trip across the South Pacific to the land where the Blues began. Upon reaching the quarter finals, the Hammond Organ Trio became the inaugural band to represent South Australia at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee. Following the competition, the band played one show only at the legendary B.B. King’s Blues Club on Beal Street, a highlight of the trip, before heading home thoroughly grounded in the blues.

Vocalist/guitarist Roger Hodgson must have really felt stifled toward the end of his tenure in Supertramp in the early '80s – despite co-writing and singing many of the band's biggest hits – because his solo debut, 1984's In the Eye of the Storm, is a remarkable work of explosive creativity…

Roy Hargrove's second recording as a leader features the 21-year-old trumpeter in late 1990 essentially playing bebop. Joined by altoist Antonio Hart, pianist Stephen Scott, bassist Christian McBride, and drummer Billy Higgins, Hargrove shows why he was so highly rated from the start of his career. On such numbers as "September in the Rain," "End of a Love Affair," "Crazeology," and four of his straight-ahead originals, Hargrove plays in a style not that different from Lee Morgan but with his own soulful sound, revitalizing the jazz tradition with his enthusiastic ideas. A fun set.
