This five-disc box collects as many complete concerts by Irish blues-rock guitarist Gary Moore, recorded in 1990, 1995, 1997, 1999, and 2001 at the Montreux Jazz Festival. Some might call this too much material, especially given the number of songs that recur (four versions of "All Your Love," three each of "Oh Pretty Woman," "Too Tired," and "You Don't Love Me," and two each of "The Blues Is Alright," "Further on Up the Road," "Need Your Love So Bad," "Parisienne Walkways," "Since I Met You Baby," "Still Got the Blues," "Stop Messing Around," and "Walking by Myself"), but there is in fact substantial variation from disc to disc.

Great one from one of the greats. One of the few places where you can find a studio recording of Parisienne Walkways…

Back on the Streets is an album by British blues-rock guitarist Gary Moore, released in 1978, and his first authentic solo record (1973's Grinding Stone album being credited to "The Gary Moore Band"). Thin Lizzy bassist/vocalist Phil Lynott and drummer Brian Downey appear on four songs, including UK top 10 single "Parisienne Walkways"…

The Best of the Blues is a 2002 two-CD compilation album by Gary Moore. Disc 1 is a selection from four early-'90s albums, featuring guest spots by Albert King, B.B. King, and Albert Collins, plus a concert recording of "Parisienne Walkways." Disc 2 has the same guests (on different songs) and a half-dozen of the same titles, but this is all unissued concert material. Live performance only stimulates Moore's tendency to skip the foreplay, producing music that is urgent, active, and seething with testosterone.

This live album, recorded circa 1980 at London's Marquee Club, is a mixed bag, featuring material from Gary Moore's 1979 solo album "Back on the Streets" and his band project G-Force. Most impressive, perhaps, is the incredible musicianship in this performance from Moore and drummer Tommy Aldridge. Besides rocking out with "Back on the Streets" and "Run to Your Mama," the band locks into a great groove on "She's Got You." But they reach an absolute peak with a beautiful rendition of Moore's first U.K. hit, the instrumental ballad "Parisienne Walkways," a melody so lovely that Moore plagiarized himself 12 years later, tweaking it only slightly to create his hit "Still Got the Blues."

The disc is essentially the European edition of "Parisienne Walkways", plus two versions of a Moore's "Spanish Guitar".
The first five numbers drawn from the Moore's 1979 "Back on the Streets". One of them - is the same "Spanish Guitar" in a beautiful duet with Phil Linnot (Thin Lizzy).
The next five numbers represent the material of experimental jazz fusion group of the late 70's "Colloseum II", which was attended by Moore. Band: Keyboards - Don Airey (Black Sabbath, Jethro Tull, Whitesnake, Rainbow, Deep Purple), bass guitar - Neil Murray (Black Sabbath, Whitesnake), Guitar - Gary Moore, drums - Jon Hiseman (Colloseum).
And last two numbers of CD - two versions "Spanish Guitar".
