2008 digitally remastered edition of this underground classic. Sunset Wading was the first solo venture for former Caravan bass guitarist and vocalist John G. Perry. By 1976, he had left Canterbury's finest band and had ploughed a furrow as a noted session musician and a member of Quantum Jump with producer Rupert Hine. Sunset Wading saw Perry reunited with Caravan viola player and flautist Geoffrey Richardson as well as recruiting such notable musicians as Mike Giles (King Crimson), Rupert Hine and Roger Glover (Deep Purple). A fine example of mid-70's classic Progressive Rock.

US EMI 1st Pressing Mastered by Robert Ludwig

After summing up his maverick tendencies on Scary Monsters, David Bowie aimed for the mainstream with Let's Dance. Hiring Chic guitarist Nile Rodgers as a co-producer, Bowie created a stylish, synthesized post-disco dance music that was equally informed by classic soul and the emerging new romantic subgenre of new wave, which was ironically heavily inspired by Bowie himself. Let's Dance comes tearing out of the date, propulsed by the skittering "Modern Love," the seductively menacing "China Girl," and the brittle funk of the title track.
Outstanding sounding cut for this pressing!!!

"Vision of Love" was chosen as the album's lead single, topping the charts in Canada, New Zealand, and the United States. The song was critically lauded, and was regarded as one of the strongest debut singles by a female singer. Reviews of the album generally complimented Carey's voice and technique, but were ambivalent towards the songwriting. It nonetheless became a commercial success, topping the Billboard 200 album chart for eleven consecutive weeks. Mariah Carey was certified nine-times Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), denoting shipments of nine million copies in the United States.

By 1975, Grand Funk Railroad had reached a new level of fame and fortune thanks to pop-friendly albums like We're an American Band and Shinin' On. However, they had not dropped the turbo-charged rock & roll that built their early success and that fact is proven by this exciting double-live album. Caught in the Act covers all the highlights of their catalog up to that point, including both the major hits and a generous sampling of album-track favorites.
